DIESEL MECHANIC

Our client, a reputable long-distance transport company based in Brackenfell, is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect trucks to identify mechanical issues and use diagnostic tools to interpret results.
- Repair and replace faulty mechanical, electrical, and electronic components in engines,
transmissions, braking systems, and steering mechanisms - Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs in accordance with service standards and within
agreed timeframes. - Maintain detailed records of all inspections and repairs performed on each vehicle.
- Accurately complete job cards and parts requisitions.
- Attend to breakdowns as required.
- Ensure compliance with the OHS Act and SHEQ standards by promoting a safe, clean, and
well-organised work environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified / Partly qualified Diesel Mechanic
- General Auto Electrical Experience
- Basic knowledge on Thermo King diesel cooling unit engines
- Work experience with Volvo trucks advantageous
- Code 8 Drivers License
- Computer literate
- Available for after-hours and weekend work to attend to breakdowns
