Job Summary
Job Title: Buyer (Procurement Specialist) – 4–6 Month Contract Job Purpose
The Buyer will be responsible for supporting and executing strategic procurement activities, with a strong focus on supplier management, cost optimisation, and global sourcing. The role ensures effective end-to-end purchasing processes, supplier performance, and value creation through Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in procurement or strategic sourcing
- Experience in the automotive or transport manufacturing sector (advantageous)
- No criminal record
- Strong exposure to supplier management and contract administration

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end purchase-to-pay cycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance
- Identify, evaluate, and appoint competitive and compliant suppliers
- Conduct market research and sourcing of new global suppliers
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and TCO optimisation strategies
- Perform supplier performance analysis and implement improvement plans
- Manage supplier contracts and ensure compliance with agreed terms
- Analyse procurement spend and provide actionable insights
- Mitigate supply chain risks through proactive planning and analysis
- Support product development initiatives with suppliers where required
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and ISO standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement of purchasing intelligence processes
- Support affiliates in resolving sourcing and supply chain challenges
- Drive negotiation outcomes that deliver cost savings and value creation
