Job Overview:
Our client in the automotive industry is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their team. This role is suited to a candidate with a solid understanding of basic accounting functions, who is eager to grow within a dynamic environment. While junior candidates will be considered, some practical experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Debtors and creditors administration
- Processing and reconciling accounts
- Assisting with payroll functions
- Managing petty cash
- Maintaining and updating the cash book
- General bookkeeping and administrative support
- Ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with company procedures
Minimum Requirements:
- Basic accounting knowledge (qualification advantageous)
- 1–3 years’ relevant experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Experience with accounting software is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Personal Attributes:
- Well-spoken, well-presented, and professional
- Strong work ethic with a high level of integrity
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Requirements:
- Must reside in or around the Benoni area
- Own reliable transport
