Job Summary
Overview:
This is a critical role in a very fast paced organization, serving many hi tech retail stores throughout South Africa. The margins for error are very small and therefore there is a great deal resting on the individual in this position. Very effective management of processes and people is going to be essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage Operations Teams including:
- Telesales
- Procurement
- Forward Logistics
- Reverse Logistics
- Repairs Division
- Put in place SLA’s and KPI’s to achieve operational requirements set out by the organisation
- Be able to execute quickly and move resources to achieve ad hoc short term requirements
- Build a world class team (looking after global technology and consumer brands)
- Manage stock at all stages of the process
- Manage 3rd party warehouse
- Manage both Freight Forwarders and Local Logistics Partners
- Monthly billing for both Warehouse and Courier Partners
- Demonstrated strong ability to lead daily operations and work on multiple initiatives, at the same time in an FMCG environment
Qualifications and Experience required:
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management preferred
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing Operations Team
- SAP Business One experience
- Advanced Computer literacy skills
