Metrologist / Instrument Technician
Unique Metrology, based in Alberton Johannesburg, currently has a position open for a metrologist / instrument technician. No prior metrology experience is necessary but a proven technical background in an engineering environment is essential. Training will be given.
The job entails calibration of all pressure, temperature, mass and water flow instruments. The candidate will need his own vehicle, preferably a utility vehicle for carrying mass pieces to and from sites. Must be able to be away from home to perform site work, which is generally no longer than a week at a time.
Candidates between the ages of 25 and 40 will be given preference due to the sometimes, strenuous work of lifting heavy weights. (20 to 25kg).
Salary will be experience dependent and in the range of R5000 to R10000 per month.
