Detailed Job Description:

• Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment and practices in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Conduct Health and Safety incident/accident investigation and report on accidents and incidents as per the Requirements of the business
• Incident plan, make certain that every site that is worked on by the technicians is assessed and that a risk assessment has been completed.
• Attend to all paper work and administration in accordance with Health and Safety procedures and plans.
• Advise and train employees on a regular basis on Health and Safety best practices (toolbox talks, etc.).
• Follow up and ensure that the risk assessments are received in good order.
• Make sure that all employees are aware of the Health and Safety requirements.
• Prevent any accidents from accruing onsite by ensuring that all Health and Safety requirements are met.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in following procedures and up to date paper work relating to the Health and Safety business requirements.
• Ensure each team in the HUB is implementing the correct OHS system and OHS is part of MOS
• Tasks from Management which may not be highlighted in this related to OHS measures

Hours: Monday – Friday 08h00 – 17h00

Salary: R15 000 – R18 000

Our client based in East London is currently looking for a PABX Technician.

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience as a PABX Technician.
• Relevant industry qualifications will be advantageous.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• High standard of accuracy and proficiency.
• Timeous handling and completion of work, and maintaining minimal repeat call rate.
• Must be able to handle stress within a highly pressurized environment.
• Must be able to work overtime and be on standby when required.
• Ability to travel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Programming, installation, and maintenance of PABX systems.
• Conduct site survey before installations.
• Troubleshooting on PABX.
• Configuration of ADSL, VOIP, WIFI, and 3G routers.
• Set up of IP PBX VOIP network.
• SIP Trunks and VOIP installations.
• Installations and troubleshooting of cabling infrastructure.
• Voice Over IP network maintenance.
• Connectivity - Fiber, Microwave links, and LTE.
• Data cabling and voice cabling.
• Configuration of voicemail, auto-attendant, SPNet, least cost routing (LCR), ring plans as well as voice and data integration.
• Voice and Data integration.
• Troubleshooting in a networking infrastructure.
• Conduct fault-finding analysis.
• Upon completion of full installation, handover must be completed with the client/customer.
• Up to date with H&S regulations and SOPs (standard operating procedures).
• Communicate with customers to explain problems and procedures with the equipment.
• Responsible for all boot stock allocated to you.
• To ensure that the Service Coordinator is given accurate information relating to service calls and installations.
