Job Summary
Our client is a leading financial services organisation seeking a Collections & Recoveries Analyst to join its Credit Risk team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing collections and recoveries performance, identifying portfolio trends, and developing data-driven recommendations to optimise collections strategies and improve recovery outcomes. The role offers exposure to portfolio analytics, forecasting, customer behaviour analysis, and strategic decision-making within a dynamic risk environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse collections and recoveries performance across credit portfolios
- Monitor delinquency trends and identify opportunities to improve recovery rates
- Develop and maintain management reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
- Support the optimisation of collections and customer treatment strategies
- Conduct customer behaviour and segmentation analysis
- Develop forecasting models and performance projections
- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with business, operations, and technology teams to improve collections effectiveness
- Assist with regulatory and risk reporting requirements
- Support process improvement and automation initiatives
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
Experience:
- 2–5 years' experience in Collections Analytics, Recoveries Analytics, Credit Risk Analytics, or Portfolio Analytics
- Experience within banking, lending, financial services, or a consumer credit environment
- Exposure to collections strategies, portfolio monitoring, and customer behaviour analytics advantageous
Skills:
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- SQL experience essential
- Experience with Power BI, SAS, Python, or other analytics tools advantageous
- Understanding of collections, recoveries, and credit risk principles
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
