COMPANY PROFILE Sheet Plastic was established in February 1990 after which the building of the factory in East End, Bloemfontein started. The installation and commissioning of the plant was completed at the end of November of the same year and production commenced at the beginning of 1991. The entire project was funded by foreign investors who foresaw opportunities in the rigid plastic sheet market in South Africa. In addition to this, significant transport traffic passes through Bloemfontein, as it is the main arterial route to Cape Town from both Kwazulu Natal and Gauteng. Most significant was the fact that decentralization benefits were granted in this area, which helped the company to gain a competitive advantage, especially during the introduction phase of the company’s life cycle. Although the company is situated in Bloemfontein, our customers are mostly situated in Gauteng, Kwazulu Natal, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and East London.
