Minimum Qualifications : Grade 12 Honours degree Internal Auditing/Accounting/Investment management or a related discipline Preferred Qualifications : A Post Graduate Degree in Internal Auditing / Accounting / Investment Management or a related discipline. Industry recognised certifications such as CFA/ CIA / CA/ CIMA/ACCA. CFE or related qualification will be an added advantage. Minimum Technical/Core Skill Requirements Knowledge of financial markets Knowledge of IFRS, PFMA and treasury regulations Knowledge of best practice frameworks such as King IV, COSO, among others 5-8 years relevant experience, of which at least 3 years must be in a management role. Experience of managing audits in financial services industry and asset management companies Duties: Contribute to the development of the overall Internal Audit strategy, develop goals and monitor achievement. Developing an audit universe of all auditable Investment and Operations processes, a flexible risk based 3 year rolling audit plan, and overseeing its execution to ensure timely completion of engagements. Assess allegations received from the various sources and ensure necessary approvals are obtained in line with the investigation protocol. Prepare the investigations scope and terms of reference. Coordination of investigations with the appointed forensic firms and support the implementation of the investigation reports. Communicating the results of Audit Activities in a suitable format to all key stakeholders such as the Audit Committee, EXCO, other board Committees to facilitate understanding and remedying of internal control shortcomings.
