Job Summary

Our client (a citrus enterprise) based in Kirkwood, is looking for an experienced Production Controller to join their team.

Requirements:

BTech- or Engineering Diploma (Industrial- or Operations Management)
Advance computer skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
The ability to work independently in a dynamic and challenging environment with very technology advanced equipment.
Previous production environment experience will be an advantage. Preferably in a FMCG environment.
Previous experience in managing an production unit advantageous.
Be available on weekend for overtime when required.
Be target driven

Reporting to Line Managers, main duties will, amongst other include:

Responsible to optimise line productivity by management of Auto Packer and Carton Shop
Perform resource capacity planning on an ongoing basis.
Identify and resolve process bottleneck and constraints.
Auto – Packer Capability: Calibration, verification, breakdowns and maintenance
Frequent communication and engagement with OEM’s and engineering department.
Perform root cause analysis relating to quality system and equipment failures.
Execute packing program within quality parameters and program requirements.
Assume acting line management duties when required
Control and effectively guide production team – Training & Preventative Maintenance
Review areas of waste and devise action plan to ensure reduction.
Accurate stock counts on monthly basis - Minimize variance from actual used
Adherence to GMP at all times – 5S, SMED, Housekeeping Audits

Our Kirkwood based client, operating in the citrus industry, is seeking to appoint an experienced Industrial Relations / Human Resource Officer to their team!

Key duties and responsibilities:

Advise on general HR issues.
Advise on Labour Relations issues.
Provide Disciplinary and Grievance guidance.
Policy and documentation compliance.
Manage Ad Hoc HR tasks.

Requirements:

Grade 12 (Umalusi national senior certificate).
A relevant B-Degree (M+3).
2 or more years integrated exposure in IR/HR.
Extensive understanding of the portfolio of Human Resources Management.
Knowledge of the fruit agricultural industry.
General business acumen.
Intermediate usage of Microsoft Office.
