Requirements, Experience and Qualifications

• Financial Accounting Degree.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Accountant role.

• Proficiency in accounting software, specifically Sage Evolution and Sage Intacct.

• Recent experience in stock and fixed asset accounting is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial accounting.

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Perform financial reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations and financial requirements.

• Assist with audits and regulatory reporting.

• Work closely with Facility Managers to support financial processes and reporting requirements.

• Meet reporting deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, South African tax regulations and compliance standards.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Strong time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.

• Ability to work independently, take initiative and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Self-reliant, flexible, energetic and confident.

• Collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
