Job Summary
A leading plastics manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Factory Manager with strong experience in injection moulding production to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing production operations within a plastic manufacturing environment and be confident in leading teams, optimizing production efficiency, and maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily production operations, including planning, scheduling, and quality control
Manage workflow, equipment utilization, and production efficiency
Lead and supervise production teams to meet output and quality targets
Ensure all injection moulding processes and parameters are correctly implemented
Conduct hands-on troubleshooting, tool changes, and process improvements
Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for moulds and machinery
Track raw material usage and manage inventory control
Provide training and mentorship to operators and team leaders
Report on production performance to senior management
Requirements:
Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
Proven management experience in a plastics manufacturing environment (Factory / Production / Plant Manager level)
Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes and machinery
Experience in production planning, maintenance scheduling, and process optimization
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Relevant technical qualification or diploma in Operations Management / Plastics Technology will be advantageous
