PROCUREMENT AND INBOUND GOODS MANAGER MANUFACTURING - FMCG KWAZULU NATAL MIDLANDS PURPOSE OF FUNCTION
Responsible for an effective procurement process and good inbound warehouse practice
PROCUREMENT
Ensure that the company procures right (Price, Quality, Service)
SLA signed and managed with key suppliers
Manage raw material stock holding to ensure zero stock shortages
Ensure best in class supplier management
Source and Approve minimum of 2-3 suppliers for key Raw materials
Procurement for production, retail outlets and NPD
Responsible for the COS target
Ensure accounting system has the correct raw material prices.
Reports to Ops Head
GOOD WAREHOUSE PRACTICE
Ensure all raw materials are stored according to good warehouse practices. (FSSC 22000 requirements)
Ensure the procurement process and good warehouse practice is maintained according to Food Safety System standards.
Pack all received stock out timeously.
Issue all stock according to FIFO and FEFO principals.
Be responsible for the handling and removing of all waste timeously.
GOODS RECEIVING
Manage the receiving of raw material according to best practice.
Ensure accuracy of inbound invoices to PO.
BOM’s
Ensure accurate BOM’s issued and returned materials from production captured Reports to Finance Head
STOCK INTEGRITY
Accountable for stock variances
NON-CONFORMING STOCK
Manage all non-conforming goods according to Food Safety System standards.
Ensure credit notes are passed for rejected product timeously
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ABILITY / SKILLS: Ability to adapt the procurement process and warehouse management to mitigate external changes
Skillful negotiator
Good communication skills
Should have good record keeping skills
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related position with experience in supplier management, warehouse management, inventory control and BOM’s.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
