The Claims Manager is responsible for the overall management of the claims department. The duties include, managing, planning, monitoring and reporting. Providing assistance to Client Services, the Call Centre, Claims team, employers and external service providers. The Claims Manager reports to the Snr Manager PSSPF.

Areas of Responsibilities

• Meet production standards in terms of quantity and quality.
• Liaise with employers and service providers both written and verbal.
• Devote the whole of your time, attention and abilities during working hours to the discharge of your duties with strict accuracy.
• Ensure email communication, whether internal or external is dealt with professionally and within the service level agreement.
• Coordinate and monitor all claims related activities which includes payment of claims, reporting, data maintenance and client enquiries.
• Ensure all funds comply and is administered according to the rules, policies, legislation, administration procedures and the service level agreements applicable to each fund.
• Identify, develop, enhance and implement policies and procedures that are relevant to the claims department.
• Follow up on audit findings and recommendations.
• Compile job descriptions for all levels within the claims department.
• Set and agree performance areas with staff and manage employee performance.
• Delegate work to staff.
• Coordinate departmental leave.
• Compile accurate reports required by management in the required format.
• Any other duties as determined by the Senior Manager: PSSPF Claims.

Record Keeping and Filing

• Keep all email correspondence for future reference

Query resolution

• Attend to all email and telephonic enquiries both internal and external.
• Assist Client Services, the Call Centre, Claims team, employers and external service providers to resolve queries.
• Follow through and provide client with on-going feedback until enquiry is resolved.
• Support a positive and responsive climate for client enquiry resolution.
• Action all escalated enquiries within 24 - 72 hours.
• Report any irregularities to the Senior Manager: PSSPF Claims.
• Monitor escalations and complaints and recommend preventative measures.

Team Support

• Accept accountability and take responsibility for any work done or allocated.

Essential Knowledge, skills and Experience

• At least 6 years employee benefits / retirement fund administration experience specifically in a similar role processing retirement fund claims and dealing with employers and external providers.
• A solid knowledge of pension fund legislation, regulations and guidelines.
• Everest experience will be advantageous.
• Knowledge and understanding of unitization.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Methodical and meticulous.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A self-starter who can work independently with minimal support but who can also work in a team environment.

The Call Centre Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a trusted relationship with the client which supports a spirit of partnership. The Client Services Manager should take a proactive role in learning about the client’s business needs and company culture, educate the project team, identify new business opportunities, and provide a high level of service.

• Reporting client metrics (weekly/monthly/annually), translating metrics to business information, and overseeing the development of resulting action plans.
• Providing “thought leadership” by coordinating and researching benchmarking studies, delivering presentations on strategic topics related to the services provided and consults with the client on best practices provided by Salt EB.
• Collaborating with all implementing departments and provide oversight ensure that client requirements are understood and met.
• Facilitating weekly project status update meetings and serve as an escalation point for any implementation issues.

REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION

• Product Knowledge: Ability to identify fresh produce types
• Literacy: The ability to read production lists, record stock details and the scheduling of production
• Computer: Basic knowledge (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, SAP)
• Numeracy: The ability to conduct intermediate mathematics
• Communication: Candidates must be able to talk clearly and fluently with staff and management so that instructions are clearly understood.

As a waste management on a Petrochemical plant , you'll need to:

• oversee Industrial waste management permits of various sites
• supervise the transportation of waste to ensure that it takes place efficiently without contaminating air, land or water sources
• assist with the development, promotion and implementation of new waste disposal schemes

Recruiting an Account Analyst (ideally from waste management/ recycling industry.)

The main purpose of this position:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the sourcing, collation, processing, and reporting of all information required by the EPR regulations. In addition to this the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Financial Manager with general matters when required.

Processing of membership applications

• Responding to membership queries
• Completing members' onboarding forms
• Updating of membership details on the Company’s system and membership

register

• Assist with the invoicing and debtors’ management of members
• Following up on member glass tonnage declarations
• Capturing tonnage detail on the Company system

• Submit the annual audit report to the Department within 60 days after finalisation

of the audit, annual audit report uploaded onto the South African

Waste Information Centre (SAWIC) for public access

• Develop and maintain a register of all members
• Collect, record, manage and submit data to the South African Waste Information

System as required in regulation eight of the EPR Regulations

• Keep records of the quantity of identified products:

placed on the market by members of the producer responsibility organisation

2. sorted
3. recycled
4. recovered

• Manage system for compensation of reclaimers, payment of transport subsidies

and payment to third parties for servicing of glass banks and wheelie bins

• The interim performance report submitted to the Department within four

weeks of the conclusion of the 6 months period namely January to June of the

calendar year, by the producer responsibility organisation, and the interim

performance report includes the following but is not limited to:

1. Unaudited interim performance against the published targets.
2. Unaudited breakdown of the allocation of the extended producer responsibility
3. fee; and
4. Unaudited performance on all finance matters in conjunction with the financial
5. manager
6. Annual performance audit reports submitted to the Department within
7. 3 months of the conclusion of the year end, which is on 31 December.
8. An annual external performance audit report submitted to the Department containing the following minimum requirements:

? Performance against the published targets.

? Breakdown of the allocation of the extended producer responsibility fee.

? Performance on all finance matters.

Governance report; and

? Number of jobs created.

? All producer responsibility organisation that establish and implement

their own scheme must record and report, as a minimum on an annual

basis, to the South African Waste Information System the quantities of

the identified product that are:

• placed on the market by members of the producer responsibility organisation or by the producers who implement their own

scheme.
