Salary R700,000 - R750,000 per annum cost to company.

Responsibilities:

• Providing and interpreting financial reports to MANCOM and EXCO with recommendations on further course of action.
• Advising on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should embark on.
• Maintaining the financial health of the company as well as the group.
• Analyse cost, pricing, variable contributions, sales and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
• Develop trends and projections for the company’s finances.
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost- reduction opportunities.
• Oversee operations of finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
• Review, monitor and manage company budgets.
• Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure audit deliverables are maintained according to the standard required by the auditors.
• Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business.
• Maintains an accurate filing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents.
• Any ad-hoc duties which are assigned.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance or related qualification.
• Min 5 years’ experience in a Financial Management role in the same or similar industry.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel skills.
• Accounting system experience.
• SAGE Evolution & any (FMS) Freight management systems knowledge would be advantageous.
• People management experience.
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To manage and take ownership of the day-to-day operational activities and ensure that the Company and Client is adhering to the contractual standards set out in the SLA agreement.

The position is based in Kempton Park.

Basic salary is R9500 per month.

Responsibilities

• Ensure invoices are matched against purchase orders, Waybills, Manifests and Trip sheets.
• Ensure purchase orders and invoices are properly authorized and are in accordance with the appropriate levels of authority.
• Ensure the correct GL account & vendor account is utilised when processing invoices in Accounts Payable module.
• Ensure that Vendor Invoices are captured in the Freight Management System
• Preparation and submission of creditors’ reconciliations.
• Forward remittance advices to suppliers after completion of payment run.
• Ensure timeous processing and reconciliations in line with monthly financial reporting deadlines.
• Assist with balance sheet recons during the month and the finalisation at month end.
• Ensure audit deliverables are maintained according to the standard required by the auditors.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Certificate in bookkeeping or finance
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. (Advanced Excel skills)
• 2 to 3 years’ experience in Creditors/ (Accounts payable) role.
• Experience in the logistics industry experience will be advantageous.
• Accounting system experience required (SAGE Evolution advantageous).
• Freight management systems knowledge would be advantageous.

A well-established, market leader in the logistics industry is looking for a Financial Accountant for a 6 month contract position.

The position is based in Kempton Park.

Salary is between R28000 and R33000 per month.

• General responsibility for the posting, recording and maintenance of all accounting records
• Cash book maintenance and cash planning
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and inter-company accounts and timely closure of accounts monthly
• Booking of accounting entries (revenue, COGS, expenses) in the accounting system
• Maintain accurate cost allocations
• Maintenance and control over the customer and supplier reconciliations, ensuring timely collection from customers as well as remittance of vendor invoices and payments
• Responsibility for assisting in the preparation of annual budget and any re-forecasting exercises as required.
• Financial year-end processes, including liaising with auditors and support with preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Handling tax administrative matters (VAT, income tax, etc.)
• Responsible for the preparation of Management Accounting Packs and adhoc financial reports as and when requested
• Close engagement with Financial Manager. Continuous improvement and improved way of working implementations
• System master data maintenance

Requirements

• Relevant Accounting Degree (BCom or other) is essential
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Logistics or Manufacturing Industry
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Microsoft Excel)
