Role Overview
The Logistics Controller is responsible for managing, overseeing, and optimizing all logistics
operations within the group. This includes global export coordination, regional import
management, cost control, compliance, and team supervision. The role ensures that shipments
are executed efficiently and cost-effectively while meeting regulatory and client requirements.
The position requires close coordination with procurement offices in South Africa and France,
as well as with local teams in regional subsidiaries (Gabon, Congo, Angola, Namibia, South
Africa, and Mozambique) and end clients as applicable to drive the process end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage end-to-end logistics operations across all regions and modes of
transport (air, sea, and land).
• Investigate and present costed logistical solutions to trade desks based on shipment
requirements and client needs.

• Supervise and guide Logistics Coordinators, ensuring adherence to company policies,
procedures, and timelines.
• Review and approve logistics documentation, including bills of lading, inspection
certificates, and customs paperwork.
• Identify opportunities and implement tools and processes to improve operational efficiency
and cost-effectiveness across all logistics processes.
Skills and Competencies
• Strong analytical and financial acumen with proven cost control and reporting skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of international shipping, import/export compliance, and
African port procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in logistics management systems or ERP tools.
• Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple offices and regions.

• On-time and compliant shipment delivery rate.
• Implementation of tools and processes resulting in Cost and process efficiency and
reporting thereon
• Accuracy and completeness of import/export documentation.
• Internal stakeholder (Trade Desk, Subsidiaries & management) satisfaction.
