YOUR ROLE
Sea Logistics Field Sales personnel develop sea logistics business from existing and new customers in order to reach and exceed predefined targets set by the Customer Care Manager. They are primarily responsible for growth of the small and medium customer segment, focused on hunting in key target trades as outlined by National Sea Logistics Management guidelines. Together with the Customer Care colleagues, Sea Logistics Field Sales are directly responsible for increasing market share across the core Sea Logistics products and contribute positively to the gross profit of the Sea Logistics business unit.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hunting and winning NEW Sea Logistics import, export & cross-trade business
- Further Development and retention of existing customer base
- Develop expert market knowledge on key focus trades, carriers, routings, sailings etc.
- Build relationship with overseas Route Development Managers to support prepaid & collect traffic
- Meet and exceed targets as predefined in Incentive Scheme by NS/CCL Manager
- Ensure constantly building a quality pipeline in small and medium sector to maximize opportunity and win ratio
- Provide continuous feedback on market rates and conditions to Managers National Trade and Pricing Teams
- Ensure 100% data quality in Core LOG(CRM System) on weekly basis
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- No less than 3 years freight forward and logistics experience is MANDATORY, an undergraduate degree will be a distinct advantage
- Commercial acumen, analysis and judgment,
- Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment
- Persuasive speaking, empathy, adaptability, ability to use positive language
- Clear communication, Good knowledge of English language, self-control, taking responsibility, patience, effective listening, attentiveness, time management, willingness to improve and thick skin are the top customer service attributes a representative needs
- Ability to work independently & remotely without thorough supervision
- Proactive approach to the tasks
