1. Leadership & Management
To effectively lead and manage a team

2. HR
To maintain HR processes and procedures on shop floor
Have up to date knowledge of the basic Human Resources policies and legislative law relating to Human Resources
Build a good relationship with the Company’s Personnel Department
Apply all HR policies and procedures equally and consistently to all staff
Resolve HR related problems to best of ability and escalate to Regional Manager timeously
Be discreet with confidential information regarding the staff
Ensure HR forms are completed correctly and timeously as per inter department deadlines
Source, recruit, orientate, train and develop all staff

Check staff uniform on each shift and ensure that uniforms are up to standard on a daily basis
Implement daily meetings for store procedures
Ensure that OTJ’s and Product Knowledge training happen in store on a continuous basis
Provide the Company with well trained staff
Escalate staff complaints in an objective and timeous manner to the Regional Manager
Escalate salary queries to Regional Manager
Manage the injury on duty process efficiently with all admin completed correctly

To maintain IR processes and procedures within shop

4. Warehouse Outputs
Co-coordinating all inbound and outbound logistics in the most efficient and cost-effective manner (stock, consumables and stationery).
Staff scheduling around peak and off-peak periods.
Management of staff including KPI’s, training and development and performance management.
Ensure that process flows are adhered to, ensuring that risks are mitigated, and stock loss/damage is minimized.
Ensuring the timeous clearing of “In Transit” stock.
Following up on discrepancies timeously.
Enforcing strict control over the movement of stock in various bins and maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.
Monitoring the services of third-party carriers.
Maintaining good interdepartmental and customer relationships.
Preparation of monthly reports
Ensuring that all health and safety requirements are adhered to.
