Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a capable and hands-on Lodge Manager for a luxury safari lodge based near Thabazimbi. This intimate 16-bed private lodge requires a dynamic individual with a strong administrative background and a passion for hospitality.
Minimum Requirements:
Hospitality degree or diploma essential
Minimum of 2 years’ management experience within a lodge environment
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Guest-focused with a professional and presentable demeanour
Sound understanding of day-to-day lodge operations
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the overall day-to-day management of the lodge
Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction
Manage front-of-house operations, guest check-ins and check-outs
Lead and support a small, dedicated lodge team
Maintain high standards across all departments including housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance
Handle lodge administration including reporting, stock control, and staff records
Liaise with suppliers and ensure effective procurement and inventory control
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Uphold lodge standards and contribute to ongoing operational improvements
