Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and motivated Executive Sous Chef to join a luxury restaurant group in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will support the Executive Chef in running kitchen operations and delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring quality and consistency.
Support menu planning, preparation, and presentation to meet the restaurant’s high standards.
Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and professionalism.
Monitor inventory, manage stock control, and assist with ordering supplies.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
Collaborate with management to enhance service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Step in for the Executive Chef as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar kitchen role in a high-end restaurant.
Strong culinary skills with creativity and attention to detail.
Leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
