We have a phenomenal opportunity for growth in a leading group for a Bookkeeper to take ownership of daily cash management and reconciliations across multiple retail stores.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced retail environment, where accuracy, consistency, and the ability to resolve discrepancies quickly are critical.
What you’ll be doing:
- Perform daily bank, card, EFT and POS reconciliations across stores
- Match and clear transactions (credit cards, EFTs, Ozow, online payments, etc.)
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies with store teams
- Maintain accurate cashbooks and financial records
- Support month-end by ensuring all clearing accounts balance
- Liaise with stores and internal teams to resolve queries efficiently
Requirements
What we’re looking for:
- 2–5 years’ bookkeeping / finance experience
- ESSENTIAL: Experience in brick-and-mortar retail (multi-store environment)
- Strong experience with:
- Daily cashbook and bank reconciliations
- POS systems and store transactions
- High-volume transaction processing
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (Sage / Pastel / similar)
- High attention to detail and a natural ability to spot and resolve discrepancies
- Own vehicle and license
