As a result of an awarded major project in Namibia, the client is seeking a motivated Field Engineer to join on site project team on 6:2 roster
About the role
- Establish field engineering procedures that support site operational procedures in order to enable safe and efficient overall project delivery.
- Establish engineering document control procedures and manage the project documentation for handover to the Client
- Establish, monitor, maintain and update construction work schedules
- Liaise with vendors, client representatives and project management with regards to design and project delivery
- Interpret, review and approve survey and civil design works
- Review documentation provided from client and vendors with the goal of ensuring information is complete, accurate, detailed and suitable for ongoing project delivery.
- Communicate and manage scope changes in collaboration with project management
About you
- Minimum 5 years Field Supervisory experience in civil works. Previous experience working on large EPCM mining projects ideal
- Knowledge of all phases of a multi-discipline construction operation relating to field activities.
- Must have a good working knowledge and interpretation of Engineering drawings and specifications.
- Have and unwavering dedication so safety and proven ability to achieve construction deadlines.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering preferred
