Introduction
On behalf of our client, a growing HVAC and technical services company based in the Roodeplaat / Derdepoort area, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HVAC Storeman with strong administrative and stock control skills.
This role is primarily focused on stores and inventory management, with a strong requirement for accurate system updates, recordkeeping, and administrative control.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a technical environment, supporting technicians and ensuring all stock and documentation is correctly managed.
Purpose of the Role
The Storeman is responsible for:
- Managing all HVAC stock, tools, and materials
- Ensuring accurate receiving, issuing, and recording of stock
- Maintaining up-to-date stock systems and documentation
- Supporting technicians with parts and job readiness
- Ensuring strong administrative control within the stores function
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Stock Control & Stores Management
- Receive, check, and record all incoming stock and materials
- Capture stock on systems accurately and timeously
- Issue stock and parts to technicians as required
- Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations
- Monitor minimum stock levels and report shortages
- Ensure proper storage and organisation of HVAC parts and equipment
- Track tools and equipment issued to technicians
- Administrative & System Control
- Update internal systems with all stock movements
- Maintain accurate records of stock, deliveries, and job allocations
- Ensure all documentation (delivery notes, invoices, job-related stock) is captured and filed
- Assist with reporting on stock usage and variances
- Ensure strong attention to detail in all admin processes
- Technician & Operational Support
- Prepare and allocate parts for scheduled jobs
- Ensure technicians receive correct materials before dispatch
- Track returned materials and unused stock
- Assist with job-related stock queries
- Support operational team with stock planning
- Supplier & Delivery Coordination
- Receive supplier deliveries and verify against orders
- Check and match invoices, delivery notes, and stock received
- Liaise with suppliers regarding shortages or discrepancies
- Assist with follow-ups on outstanding orders
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Proven experience as a Storeman / Stock Controller
- Strong administrative and system capturing experience
- Experience in HVAC / technical / electrical environment (advantageous)
- Computer literate (Excel, email, stock systems)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
