Job Summary
People Operations Manager | Winelands People. Culture. Accountability. A leading luxury hospitality environment is seeking an experienced People Operations professional to take ownership of the employee relations and industrial relations function across a dynamic, service-driven operation. This is a key role within the business, partnering closely with leadership to ensure that people practices are fair, consistent, and legally sound, while supporting a high-performance culture built on accountability and respect. The Role You will lead and manage all aspects of employee relations, acting as a trusted advisor to management on performance, conduct, and people-related matters, while ensuring best practice and compliance at all times. Key Focus Areas Lead disciplinary processes end-to-end, including investigations, hearings, and outcomes Advise and support managers on performance management and conduct issues Ensure full compliance with South African labour legislation and internal policies Draft and oversee all disciplinary documentation, warnings, and case records Manage grievance processes and support conflict resolution Maintain accurate, compliant, and confidential employee records Drive consistency in the application of policies and procedures across the business Support and strengthen a culture of accountability, professionalism, and fairness What We’re Looking For 5–8+ years’ experience in HR, with strong focus on employee relations and IR Proven ability to independently manage disciplinary and grievance processes Strong working knowledge of BCEA, LRA, and South African labour practices Confident; credible communicator with the ability to influence at all levels Calm; objective, and solutions-driven approach Highly organised with strong attention to detail and documentation Experience within hospitality or service-driven environments advantageous Why This Role Strategic; high-impact role within a luxury hospitality environment Direct exposure to leadership and operational decision-making Opportunity to shape and embed best-practice people standards Clear pathway into senior HR or People leadership roles Apply If you are passionate about building fair, high-performance workplace cultures and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
