Location: Somerset West Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and professional Restaurant General Manager for a fine dining establishment in Somerset West. The restaurant seats 50 guests and up to 100 for functions, with a well-established team and all management systems in place. We operate 7 days a week for lunch, with dinner services on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. ? Key Responsibilities ? Manage and inspire the restaurant team to deliver world-class service ? Ensure all food and beverage operations meet high standards ? Maintain in-depth knowledge of wine, menus, and service standards ? Oversee HR practices, labour law compliance, and staff scheduling ? Handle basic financial management, reporting, and business practices ⚡ Maintain a sense of urgency, professionalism, and discipline in daily operations ? Manage administrative tasks, paperwork, and reporting requirements ? Maintain strong relationships with guests, suppliers, and the broader community ? Requirements ✔ Proven experience managing a fine dining or high-end hospitality operation ✔ Strong leadership and team management skills ✔ Deep understanding of award-winning service standards ✔ Hands-on approach and attention to detail ✔ Knowledge of wine and food pairing, menus, and restaurant operations ✔ HR and labour law knowledge ✔ Strong work ethic, discipline, and organisational skills ✔ Honest with verifiable references ?
