Job Summary
Our client is looking for an experienced senior technical sales rep to be based in the Secunda area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote the relevant products and demonstrate clearly how the products are in conjunction with the clients needs;
- Maintain a good understanding of the market, competitor offerings, general intelligence and identifying new opportunities;
- Ensuring sales target are consistently met;
- Support client with technical advice;
- Identify and resolve client concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future;
CLIENT PRODUCT CRITERIA:
- Portable gas detectors;
- Fixed gas detectors;
- Alcohol and drug testing detectors;
- Alcohol ignition interlock;
- Respiratory protection;
- Hazmat suits;
- Head and eye protection;
- Rescue and escape products;
- Thermal imaging cameras;
- Diving equipment;
- Fire simulation systems and training galleries;
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong technical skills;
- Research and analytical skills;
- Organizational skills;
- Communication skills, including the ability to explain clearly and listen to the feedback of clients;
- The ability to negotiate with and influence others;
- Previous experience selling to Sasol or working with Sasol as a client a must;
- Self driven and motivated individual;
- A proven track record in sales and support;
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical or trade qualification;
- Sales related qualification;
- 5-10 years experience;
- Sasol PPE sales experience will be advantageous;
