A large, established hotel is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeping Manager to take full responsibility for the housekeeping function across a high-occupancy, guest-focused operation. This role requires a strong operational leader with proven experience managing large teams, maintaining high presentation standards, and ensuring consistency across rooms and public areas. This is a hands-on management position suited to a professional who understands the pace, discipline, and detail required in a live hotel environment. Core Requirements To be considered, candidates must demonstrate: Proven experience as an Executive Housekeeping Manager or Senior Housekeeping Manager in a hotel environment Experience managing large housekeeping teams within a busy operation Strong knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards and procedures Experience maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards across rooms and public areas Ability to manage rosters, productivity, and labour efficiency Willingness to work shifts; weekends, and public holidays South African ID Matric (Grade 12) Relevant Hospitality / Housekeeping Management qualification (advantageous) Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills Role Focus Full operational responsibility for the hotel’s housekeeping department Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet required standards Lead; train, and performance-manage housekeeping supervisors and teams Manage linen, uniforms, stock levels, and housekeeping budgets Oversee room readiness in line with occupancy and operational flow Conduct regular inspections and quality audits Liaise closely with Front Office, Maintenance, and Operations teams Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations Professional Profile Highly organised with strong attention to detail Calm and decisive in a high-pressure hotel environment Hands-on leader with a strong floor presence Committed to consistency, efficiency, and quality delivery This role is suited to an experienced housekeeping leader who thrives in large-scale hotel operations.
