Our client, in the manufacturing industry and a prominent brand; is seeking to employ an experienced IT Desktop Support Technician to join their Finance team based in Coega.
Requirements
IT-related qualification or certification (CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+ essential)
MCSE, MCSA, or CCNA certification advantageous
Valid driver’s license
1–3 years’ experience in IT support, help desk, or technical troubleshooting (3 years preferred)
Strong experience with:
Windows 10 and Windows 11
Microsoft Office Suite
Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
Desktop hardware and software troubleshooting
Basic networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
Knowledge of network infrastructure, security principles, and database systems advantageous
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Responsibilities Desktop and End-User Support
Provide first- and second-line IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and business applications
Manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions
Log and manage support tickets using service desk systems
Perform system updates, patches, and routine maintenance
Train users on new systems and IT best practices
Network and Infrastructure Support
Assist with LAN and WAN infrastructure monitoring
Troubleshoot network connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewall issues
Support network hardware installations and maintenance
Assist with network security controls and endpoint protection
Asset Management and Documentation
Maintain accurate IT asset registers
Document technical incidents, resolutions, and support procedures
Assist with IT procurement and asset lifecycle management
