Job Summary
Job Summary:Oversee the data department and its regional team. Ensure accuracy of commercial, vendor waste stream data and ensure compliance with all aspects of the departments mandate and SLA, on a regional level. Ensure all employees performing data-related duties (in the data department or elsewhere) have been sufficiently trained and perform their duties to an acceptable degree. Ensure the department meets commitments at all times by closely monitoring and achieving the 90% SLA target, or address and resolve any issues which prevent the department from meeting this commitment.Take responsibility for certain client communication and reporting with regards to waste stream data and rebate information. Train the data staff to delegate part of these duties. Manage and upskill the data department staff through training and mentoring.The Data Manager will work in close proximity with the Systems Manager, IT Manager and Operations Manager to ensure the waste stream information governed by the organizations systems is accurate, complete, secure, complies with ISO standards and is safely stored and backed up.The Data Manager takes final responsibility for all aspects of the departmentResponsibilities:Oversee, coach and mentor the Gauteng data department staffPerform quarterly performance reviews with direct reports as per HR deadlines,Ensure that the Data Department meet the necessary business reporting requirementsApply the companys escalation policy when requiredEnsure all internal and external queries are responded to within 48 hours and resolved as soon as possibleEnsure that all queries are sent to the departments helpdesk system (to the best of your abilities)Work closely with the regional Data Supervisors to ensure waste that;Stream data is recorded timeously and accuratelyAll documentation is captured on the system as per the organizations requirementsWaste stream data gathering process is as efficient as possibleEnsure rebate reports are done as per client requirements and deadlinesCommunicate verified rebates to the Operations Manager for approvalEnsure that all client waste stream reports are accurate and sent out according to their respective due dates and requirementsAttend client meetings on requestAssist with any general data-related duties as and when requiredRequirements:National diploma or degree in a data-related field, or equivalent abilities through experienceMinimum 5 years working experience in a similar roleHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office is essentialProficiency in MSSQL / MySQL is an advantage (can be learned on the job)Possession of a valid drivers license and the ability to visit various branches are essentialEmployment will be implemented in accordance with the Employment Equity Act.Only Applicants being considered for the vacancy will be contacted.
