The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving complex infrastructure issues, implementing improvements, and ensuring the stability, reliability, and security of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Provide advanced support across server, network, storage, and virtualization platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex escalated incidents from support teams.
- Monitor infrastructure health and performance to ensure optimal availability and reliability.
- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure security controls and best practices.
- Manage and support virtualization platforms and associated technologies.
- Assist with infrastructure deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
- Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with technical teams to improve service delivery and infrastructure performance.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Infrastructure Engineering or a similar role.
- Strong experience with enterprise server, storage, and networking technologies.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and security principles.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Exposure to Microsoft infrastructure technologies and cloud platforms.
- Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies would be advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Relevant infrastructure certifications highly advantageous, including CompTIA, Microsoft, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Fortinet certifications.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a broader technical team.
