Fruit Receiving Manager
Location: Kirkwood, Eastern Cape
We are seeking an experienced and organised Fruit Receiving Manager to oversee the receiving, inspection, stock control and movement of fruit at our packhouses. The successful candidate will ensure accurate recordkeeping, full traceability, quality compliance and a consistent supply of fruit to meet production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily fruit receiving, weighing, inspection and documentation.
Coordinate deliveries with growers, transporters and packhouse management.
Ensure accurate stock control, bin identification, traceability and daily reconciliations.
Monitor fruit quality and report any damage, discrepancies or quality concerns.
Coordinate fruit movement between receiving, degreening rooms and packing lines.
Manage receiving staff, forklift operators, equipment and daily activities.
Ensure efficient operations, minimal fruit damage and uninterrupted production.
Maintain food safety, hygiene, housekeeping and audit compliance.
Prepare daily reports on fruit volumes, stock levels, quality issues and operational challenges.
Oversee forklift servicing and general maintenance.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric certificate.
Experience supervising staff and forklift operations.
Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
Computer literacy, including Excel and stock control systems.
Good communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
Ability to work under pressure during peak citrus season and work extended hours when required.
