Responsible for Plan, Design, Implementation and ongoing maintenance and support of customer network infrastructure. Guide customer on migrating to Next Generation Technologies. Deploys pre-defined products and customer specific solutions to meet business and strategic objectives. Applies expertise, such as automation
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
- Function as a subject matter expert on Network technology, providing high level support, formulating solutions, assisting with the implementation of quality/ productivity systems and compiling and distributing reports
- Compile technical service descriptions and detailed, accurate costs of implementing technical input for the specification and development for Network products and services.
- Conduct business analysis and business continuity planning to ensure continued network stability and growth.
- Engage in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to technical product development by advising on industry best practices.
- Manage projects and network integration within areas of expertise in terms of compilation, execution, monitoring and completion
- Monitor emerging technologies and provide insights and advice in this regard
- Design systems within areas of expertise
- Conduct service delivery planning and control
Skills and Experience
- The candidate should demonstrate expertise in network switching and routing functions, as well as strong problem-solving skills.
- Must have a very good knowledge of Data Centre switching trends and technology changes.
- Knowledge of Cisco ACI networks and NX-OS platform is a requirement.
- Ability to perform associated IOS upgrades
- Produce multi-level network designs and design policies
- Evaluate and optimize network performance
- Basic understanding of network security and firewalls (advantageous)
