Job Summary
Establish a baseline of current systems, data flows, and various data integration points and evaluate the progress and status of these.
- Design future view of systems, data flows and data integration points and assist in driving the implementation of these solutions under overall good data and IT governance.
- Support design and development of data and IT tools to assist the business in various requirements from reporting, compliance, and regulatory, to operations, sales, and analytics.
- Support data remediation & compliance efforts of client data via innovative data extracts, analysis, and tools.
- Responsible for overall data protection compliance, system risk, and cybersecurity exposure policies and governance.
- Ensure that the organisational digital strategy/solutions remain relevant to the organisation and are at the forefront of digital technology.
- Manage the pipeline and prioritization of projects, enhancements, and releases to implement the digital solutions strategy.
- Manage 3rd party solution vendors and or suppliers, and teams effectively and in accordance with commitments, release plans, and roadmaps.
- Work and engage with all business stakeholders in interpreting their needs, promoting and advising on digital solutions.
- Manage the reporting to stakeholders on the performance and values add to their digital solutions.
- Ability to work with and influence aligned projects to cross-promote the digital roadmap and related outcomes.
- Conduct ongoing competitor and industry benchmarking related to digital solutions.
- Investigate new technologies and opportunities and make appropriate decisions in support of the agreed strategy.
- Lead and upskill the digital solutions team to be abreast of the latest trends and technologies within the digital space.
- Manage reporting and analytics capability.
- Ensure the alignment of data and digital practices and governance across organisation and where required with other divisions.
- Ensure project change initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (BCom, BSc, BCompt, Information Systems degree or similar).
- Experience in managing platform projects (migrations, large system changes, and IT architectural design).
- Managing data and system integrations in platforms.
- Financial Services industry experience is essential. Must understand investments and life products.
- Experience in designing customer-facing front-end solutions.
- Experience in coding is advantageous. Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python, C#
- Experience in managing a team of coders.
- Experience in managing 3rd party solution vendors and suppliers.
- Previous experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Senior System Analyst is advantageous.
