DUTIES
Maintain and grow established accounts within appointed areas
Selling of the company’s product range
Sourcing new business via cold calling, cold-emailing and on-site sales strategies
Follow the set procedures and processes by issuing a quotation to the customer and then follow up to convert the quotation to a sales order
Research and identify target customers in other industries where you can supply their range of products
Collecting goods from suppliers and diligently checking that the quantities and prices invoiced are correct
Submitting of all supplier invoices collected for filing
Schedule and conduct deliveries to customers in certain areas within South Africa
Monthly Sales Trips will be scheduled to specific areas within Southern Africa, such as but not limited to the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape
Ensure that the quantities of goods delivered match the invoice that has been made out to the customer
Ensuring that a copy of each invoice is signed and returned to the relevant operations coordinator
Keeping an accurate list of non-invoiced stock in vehicles when out on deliveries or sales trips and getting the list signed off before the trip
Coordinating with the operations team after a sales trip in order to check and return the stock to inventory
Keeping track of servicing intervals of company vehicles and licence expiry dates
Certain social media accounts should be used to effectively communicate with customers and to grow brand recognition through marketing on platforms such as LinkedIn
Attending weekly and monthly sales and operations meetings.
Keeping up with the changing market and economic conditions to avoid non-payment from customers, but also to advise on new areas of potential growth
Occasionally assisting the team in welcoming and entertaining international suppliers or customers when traveling to South Africa.
