Must have a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Biological Sciences, Computational Biology, Agriculture or similar
Experience in working with agricultural/biological scientific data would be ideal
Must be proficient in Machine Learning and Statistics algorithms and concepts (Mixed Models, Random Forest, Deep Learning, SVM, SAS JMP etc.)
Experience with cloud computing such as Hadoop and Spark, and visualization software such as Tableau and TIBCO Spotfire will be required
Must present strong programming skills in R, Python, SQL.
The ability to rapidly learn new problem domains, and become conversant in the domain with subject matter experts is important
Must be able to actively engage with internal partners and external collaborators to align strategies and success measures in analytics
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Building and validating dashboards using preferred visualisation software.
Building and validating predictive models incorporating key production research data, soil, weather, and environmental data.
Demonstrating the application of the models and deploy them to stakeholders.
Performing quality control on collected data and conducting required analyses.
Contributing to positive team culture and work ethos based on company values.
Supporting the Health, Safety, and Environment, Compliance, Business Conduct and Human Rights policies and culture.
