Aftercare Teacher
Be responsible for a group of children in the afternoons - from 13h00- 16h00 (occassionally 17h00)
Plan and implement creative fun/afternoon activities
Supervise and assist with homework completion - one of the subjects being Afrikaans. Must be comfortable & competent in this area!
Prepare learners for cycle test and exams
Supervise play
Engage with children and parents
Be aware of children's extra murals, homework needs etc
Requirements:
Has a passion for education and childcare
Would like to pursue a career in Education
Be comfortable working through CAPS school work
Confident
Foster good discipline in children
Have a loving nature towards children
Well written and spoken in English
Can use initiative
Reliable transport
Able to commit to afternoons in the schools term
School holidays will be on a shift basis (Full day offering so 2 shifts a day - 1 will be worked)
