The engineer is expected to have an excellent working knowledge of all aspects of the Technology Infrastructure, supported by the wider team. In addition, in order to effectively support the services running on the firm's technology infrastructure, a good general knowledge of all applications and services provided to the firm is required. The specific duties for this role include, but are not limited to managing and implementing;
• In depth understanding of M365 and O365 services and application suite, interdependencies, and operations to be point of technical guidance for the team.
The managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting of M365 and O365 services, helping to design and implement the future of Microsoft at the company.
• Able to drive M365 and O365 services through pipeline to develop, code, validate, build, and deploy to production. • Able to support MS Office and related products through lifecycle including build, test, deploy, and updates as needed.
• Able to script using PowerShell and other tools as needed.
• Understand application packaging into Software Update Groups, liaising with regional site services to ensure requirements are captured.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365 and other dependent licensing structures and requirements to recommend options for the firm.
• The global management, image creation, deployment, roadmap and testing of all End User Compute devices, including laptops and desktops through Endpoint Management (e.g. Intune, SCCM, etc.). Planning for any initiatives such as BYOD or MacOS.
• Intune and SCCM design and management, supporting Operations Centre in their patching schedules, and acting as an escalation point.
• Working with InfoSec to ensure compliance across the desktop and server estate and best practices offered by M365/O365.
• The global support of Azure AD, ADFS, SSO and their integration with all products and applications across the firm.
• Support device security tools such as Defender, Anti-virus, Anti?malware, heuristic AV products and also VPN technologies.
• Global escalation point for services withing Modern Workplace.
• Support projects as needed to meet goals of Modern Workplace and the IT department.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
