Applies system solutions to business problems through the design and programming of SQL
and ETL-related systems.

Key responsibilities:

SQL:

(The primary tasks, functions, and deliverables of the role)
• Develops, maintains, and enhances SQL applications and programs.
• Provides ETL applications between systems and ensures data accuracy and consistency.
• Perform data analysis by writing relational and multidimensional database queries.
• Analyse and manage BI data sources.
• Performs root cause analysis, fixing bugs where required.
• Responds to business requests for data.
• Configures, analyses, designs, develops, and maintains program codes and applications to support business intelligence processes and functions.
• Understanding of audit and governance requirements and implements these in all systems.
• Performs daily BI maintenance tasks.
• Documents processes relating to BI solutions.
• Continuous improvement of existing and new code; introducing creativity, innovation, and new trends in the marketplace

QLIK:

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Qlik data models and applications
• Provide ad-Hoc user support.
• Assist with performance tuning of Qlik applications.

Skills and competencies:

Required:

Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field / equivalent work experience.

Experience:

• SQL – at least 4 to 6 years with T-SQL, PL/SQL
• SSIS
• SSRS
• PowerBI
• Qliksense – at least 3 years

Prior Knowledge:

• Fully knowledgeable in SQL and ETL programming languages.
• Knowledge and experience with technology and application development methodologies.

Advantageous Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Big data tools and skills.
•AWS and Azure – distinct advantage

Other Programming languages:

C# - advantage
R – Nice to have
Python – Nice to have
SQL Assembly – Nice to have
