Seeking a BI Developer in the Western Cape who can join an established company with room for growth.
Requirements: B.Sc Degree in Computer Science / Engineer / Information Systems 4+ Years' experience in a similar role
Responsibilities: • Using SSIS and/or other ETL tools built in functionality • Data Trouble shooting (Source files, Source systems, Databases,Etc) • Scripting (file & directory processing) • C# or VB (Scripting options that work within SSIS) • Design implementation and maintenance • Admin, structure, design, keys, constraints, triggers, etc • SSRS or other Tabular Reporting tools • PowerBI or other Dashboarding tools • Pivot models, reports, graphs and general excel functionality (formulas, calcs, etc) • OLAP Cubes and Tabular • Analyse, design and trouble shoot (report focussed, but include other BI areas) • Solution technical documentation, documenting the how of the solution • Data Design, Ralph Kimbal, Star Schemas and dimensional modelling • Some cube functions are done using MDX • SSAS Tabular models • Thorough testing of unit and data set groupings is required • SDLC and BI Specific • Implement in day to day activities • Quality Assurance, More than just testing, ensure dev standards and best practice adherence
