Role Output:

An NGO client is looking for an experienced and resourceful NEW Business Development Manager to develop and implement growth opportunities in existing and new markets. We're searching for professionals who have a solid track record of creating long-term value for organisations within NGO or a related sector.

Qualifications & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related fields.
• A master’s degree is advantageous.
• 8-10+ years working experience in Business Development with some exposure to the NGO market
• Must have strong, proven track record in sales NOT in PRODUCT environments
• Someone who has managed the end-to-end Finance and Selling Operations
• Practical experience in managing finances, accounting, budgeting, control and reporting.
• People management is essential
• Knowledge of the South African market
• Knowledge of the SA macroeconomic and microeconomic fundamentals
• Expertise in Microsoft Office applications
• Understanding of B-BBEE legislation and policy an advantage
• Experience in rolling out implementation of a CRM tool advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets
• Researching, developing and building a pipeline strategy
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals
• Analysing data and using to create sales and renewals strategies
• Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements and achieve sales and revenue targets
• Meeting or exceeding annual sales goals
• Maintaining a pipeline of all sales administration using CRM software
• Planning and forecasting of business development plans
• Financial Budgeting and control of finances in a sales context
