FINANCIAL MANAGER
Citrusdal
Our client is an producer, packer, and exporter of quality citrus fruit located in the Citrusdal Valley.
The company has a vacancy for a Financial Manager based in Citrusdal.
Financial & Tax Compliance
• Ensure adherence to South African tax laws and oversee compliance in all foreign jurisdictions where the group operates.
• Maintain and update approvals required by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
• Coordinate and lead both internal and external audit processes.
• Strengthen and monitor internal control systems and compliance frameworks.
• Track developments in financial legislation and adapt policies accordingly.
Corporate Governance & Secretarial Support
• Provide assistance to the Company Secretary in upholding corporate governance principles and statutory obligations.
• Prepare documentation and packs for Board and committee meetings.
• Record accurate minutes of Board and committee proceedings and follow up on action items.
Contract Management & Legal Support
• Assist with the review, monitoring, and administration of contract terms, renewals, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to draft, review, and finalise agreements.
• Contribute to due diligence reviews for potential investments.
• Ensure all contracts comply with internal policies and relevant legislation.
• Maintain a structured and up-to-date repository of all commercial agreements.
Payroll & Remuneration Administration
• Process monthly payroll, including benefits, deductions, and reconciliation to the general ledger.
• Keep remuneration data updated for reporting to the Remuneration Committee.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (completion of SAICA or SAIPA articles advantageous).
• At least 3 years’ experience in finance, compliance, or audit.
• Solid understanding of South African tax and payroll laws, IFRS, the Companies Act, King IV, B-BBEE, POPIA, and FIC regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting, payroll, and document management software (Microsoft environment preferred).
• Strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
