Job Summary
Qualification- Matric
- Related Finance Diploma / Degree will be beneficial
- 5 - 6 Years’ full function debtors (credit control / accounts receivable) experience within the food manufacturing industry dealing with FMCG accounts
- Computer literate on Sage Pastel and MS Office
- Experience in maintaining accurate customer accounts through the processing of invoices, credit notes, adjustments, and payments, while performing regular reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Ensure that daily and monthly sales generated through Point-of-Sale (POS) and other integrated systems are accurately reconciled with the organisation’s accounting or ERP platform
- Monitor and track customer payments
- Follow up on overdue accounts
- Liaise with a sales team on problematic customers
- Liaise with lawyers to hand over customer debt accounts
- Prepare debtor/sales/revenue reports, trend analysis, support month-end closes, audit queries, internal controls, process optimization, and collaborate with sales/operations teams, including POS training support.
- Reconcile customer accounts
- Reconcile daily / monthly sales from POS integrated systems
- Manages the full debtors ledger
- Perform routine bookkeeping tasks, such as calculating interest on overdue accounts and allocating receipts
- Manage and ensure the processing of all deliveries from the previous day, confirming the accuracy
- Receive and process new credit applications from the Sales team
- Perform thorough credit vetting
