SAIPA Trainee – Professional Accountant (Durban North)

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SAIPA Trainees who are qualifying towards Professional Accountant (SA). This is a full-time office based role.
As a SAIPA Trainee, you will receive hands-on experience in a range of accounting, tax, and business advisory functions while gaining the necessary competencies and practical experience required to qualify as a Professional Accountant.
Minimum Requirements:
- Completed BCom in Accounting (or will be completing in 2026)
- Must reside within a reasonable distance from the office (Durban North)
- 1 year of experience in an accounting role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Good time management and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Prepare working papers and assist in drafting financial statements
- File VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax returns
- Liaise with clients and SARS
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations
- Support senior accountants and managers with various administrative and technical tasks
