Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Statutory Accounting

• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure the accurate preparation of annual financial statements.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, and internal reporting standards.
• Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Financial Control & Compliance

• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Strengthen financial controls and governance processes across the finance function.
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial information.
• Support compliance with regulatory and reporting obligations.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Perform financial analysis and provide meaningful insights into business performance.
• Monitor financial results and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Support management with financial information to facilitate informed decision-making.

Consolidations & Audit Support

• Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial information.
• Support external audit processes and ensure audit requirements are met efficiently.
• Liaise with auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit queries.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for reporting and audit purposes.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders on financial reporting matters.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation to support financial and operational objectives.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and financial insights where required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Requirements

Qualifications

• CA(SA) qualification is essential.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years' commercial experience.
• Strong background in financial reporting and statutory accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Exposure to consolidations will be advantageous.
• Experience operating within a commercial finance environment.
