An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced FP&A Manager to join a dynamic and growing organisation. This role is suited to an analytical and forward-thinking finance professional who can combine strong technical expertise with commercial acumen to support strategic decision-making across the business.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling, and performance analysis. You will play a key role in providing actionable insights, evaluating business opportunities, and supporting the organisation's long-term growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across the organisation.
• Perform detailed variance analysis and identify key drivers of business performance.
• Deliver meaningful financial insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Develop and enhance financial planning frameworks and performance metrics.

Financial Modelling & Business Analysis

• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models from the ground up.
• Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support business initiatives.
• Analyse profitability, margins, and business performance trends.
• Evaluate commercial opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations to management.

Due Diligence & Strategic Support

• Perform financial due diligence on acquisitions, investments, and strategic opportunities.
• Support business cases and investment proposals through robust financial analysis.
• Conduct diagnostic reviews across business units to identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Assist leadership teams in evaluating the financial impact of strategic decisions.

Management Reporting & Performance Management

• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and executive-level performance analysis.
• Monitor operational and financial KPIs across the business.
• Analyse profit and loss performance and provide actionable improvement recommendations.
• Present financial information and commercial insights to senior stakeholders.

Cost Management & Profitability Analysis

• Conduct detailed cost analysis and cost management reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and operational performance.
• Support pricing strategies and margin optimisation initiatives.
• Monitor expenditure and provide recommendations to improve cost effectiveness.

Requirements

Qualifications

• CIMA qualification preferred, alternatively a BCom Degree with completed Articles.

Experience

• 2-3 years' experience within:
  
  • FP&A
  • Commercial Finance
  • Financial Analysis
  • Management Accounting
  • Similar strategic finance roles
• Proven experience in:
  
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Financial Analysis
  • Financial Due Diligence
  • Variance Analysis
  • Management Reporting
  • Financial Modelling

Industry Exposure

• Industry experience is open.
• Exposure to Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, or related sectors will be advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Advanced financial modelling skills.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting capabilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Strong analytical and commercial finance skills.
• Experience with Xero and/or Zoho would be beneficial.

Non-Negotiable Experience

Candidates must demonstrate proven experience in:
