Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare management accounts, reconciliations, and monthly reporting packs.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial data.
- Assist with annual financial statements and audit preparation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax submissions, and internal controls.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as required.
Education:
- BCom Accounting / Finance (minimum requirement)
- Completed Articles (non-negotiable)
- Minimum 3 years’ post-articles experience in an accounting role.
- Strong experience in financial reporting and month-end processes.
- Exposure to the ICT / Technology / Telecommunications sector will be advantageous.
- Strong Excel skills (non-negotiable).
- Experience working on an ERP system (Sage / SAP / Oracle / similar).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage across departments.
