This role offers broad exposure across financial management, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and business support, making it ideal for a finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and driving results.
Working closely with leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance function, ensuring financial integrity, supporting strategic decision-making, and contributing to the organisation's long-term growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Take ownership of the full finance function.
• Manage month-end reporting processes and financial reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial records and reporting outputs.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across the business.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and strategic objectives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Analyse key financial trends and identify opportunities for improvement.

Governance, Compliance & Controls

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and reporting requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial governance processes.
• Support regulatory and statutory compliance obligations.
• Assist with external reporting and audit requirements where necessary.

Payroll & Operational Support

• Provide oversight and support relating to payroll activities.
• Ensure payroll processes are aligned with company policies and financial controls.
• Support operational finance requirements across the organisation.

Business Support & Strategic Finance

• Partner with management to support business growth and profitability.
• Contribute to strategic planning initiatives and financial decision-making.
• Coordinate B-BBEE verification processes and related reporting requirements.
• Support business initiatives through financial analysis and reporting.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related qualification.

Experience

• 3-5 years' relevant finance experience.
• Experience managing or overseeing the full finance function.
• Proven budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
• Experience within financial services, insurance, or a brokerage environment will be advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Experience working with ERP and accounting systems.
• Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance requirements.
