Degree or Diploma in Physical Metallurgy, majoring in Foundry Metallurgy and Processes
Minimum 8 - 10 years in an IRON Foundry
3 Years Automotive Industry experience Required

Manage and oversee all metallurgical processes in accordance with company and customer requirements. This would include metal and sand specification control, metallurgical process controls, evaluating incoming raw materials, compiling material specifications, metallurgical reports etc.
To ensure continuing compliance with the TS 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, VDA 6.3 and other related and relevant standards and requirements
Be responsible for the efficient operation of the foundry metallurgical laboratory and to ensure that the internal and external customer requirements and specifications are adhered to
Ensure all work instructions are processed, maintained and actioned in accordance with requirements
Ensure all audit procedures are conducted
Assist and support management
Provide training for internal customers
Implement and maintain the MDW process
Provide advice to the company on material specifications, tests etc.
Generate technical reports
Identification of defects and root causes
Full management of laboratory personnel
