Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client, a well-established engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Water Engineer to join their team in Umhlanga.Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, and manage water resource systems such as water supply, stormwater, wastewater, and irrigation systems.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using software tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or SWMM.
- Develop and evaluate design documents, including specifications, drawings, and calculations.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects.
- Ensure that projects are finished on schedule and under budget by working together with project managers, other engineers, and clients.
- Review and approve engineering design documents, including specifications, drawings, and calculations.
- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to clients and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that water resource systems are designed and installed per applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to water resources engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in water engineering
- Proven experience in water resource engineering, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
- Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration - Bonus
- Strong knowledge of water engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in using software tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or SWMM for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
- In-depth knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations related to water engineering.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and other water software packages.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proven track record of delivering successful water engineering projects
