DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
? Identifying new prospects and cold calling on potential customers
? Setting and chasing ambitious sales targets.
? Calling on existing customers and maintaining relationships and growing the business with these customers.
? Offering site installation audits, SLAs opportunities and feeding service center with steady stream of service repair work
? Be sufficient in new pump sales
? Generate service and repair sales for the workshop.
? Develop relationships with the key role players– i.e., Technicians, Engineers, Maintenance Managers, Contractors, Distributors and End users
? Ensure regular customer visitation, making sure budgets are achieved, Projects/ SLAs and Quotes followed up, ensuring overall service delivery to the various customers
? Drive positive customer service through appropriate attitude and action.
? Complete the required reports on time (weekly and monthly)
? Develop and implement strategies with the sales team.
? On-site problem solving and product maintenance and repairs.
? Expand the product and service offering within the various segments,
? Assist with training of customers and colleagues.
? Regular engagement with customer
? Attendance and assisting at trade shows / exhibitions
? Physical Demands: Travel regionally within a 200 km radius of Johannesburg and sometimes further if the need arises.
? Work Environment: This is both and internal and external position
? Work in all sectors of the market (petrochemical, health, food processing, beverage,
automotive, plastics, paper, wood etc.)
SALES
? Lead Generation for South Africa and Africa.
? All communication with current and existing customers, sales personnel and distributors.
? Completing sales/meeting reports weekly for senior management.
? Following up on all quoted enquiries.
? Development of South Africa business unit.
? Focus on Service orientated customers to grow workshop service as well as field service.
GENERAL
? Reduce costs and increase profitability of the business.
? The smooth and lean running of your area is your responsibility. You are to formulate,
implement and control all procedure required to perform tasks
? Any other duties as requested by senior management.
? Development of key performance indicators, these include but are not limited to, getting it right first time, engineering efficiency, good communication with the team.
? Contribution towards development of the company in SA, in line with business plan. Achievement of business plan targets and alignment to company core values in particular.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
-5 to 10 years minimum experience in a high pressure, high pace external sales role.
-Experienced in end user selling as well as distributor selling. (The role will be mainly end user focused selling - 75%)
- Experience in dealing with Engineering- & Maintenance managers relating to supporting with breakdowns, preventative maintenance putting SLAs in place of either Vacuum pumps, Water pumps, compressors, Valves or other Industrial equipment.
-Experience selling to these industrial markets: Food, Plastics, woodwork, medical, automotive, packaging, Oil and Gas, waste water. Used to setting up and completing 25 calls per week. 50% at new customer and 50% at existing customers.
-Experience doing basic customer presentations on PowerPoint to groups of Technicians, engineers & Maintenance managers etc.
